SHARYN

Sharyn, well what can I say! An iconic Aussie name, a beaut
woman, the life of the party. She’s got it all! Best yet, she’s a mad crocheter.

ABOUT:

This pattern was created for the inaugural Crochet Tournament 2020, organised by Crochet Australia with patterns from Shelley Husband Spincushions, Joy Clements Crochetroad and Emily Littlefair The Loopy Stitch.

This pattern contains step-by-step photos, written instructions and a chart.

SKILL LEVEL:

This pattern is aimed at an intermediate to advanced level, but hopefully you are willing to give it a go and grow and expand your crochet knowledge skills and stitches.

GAUGE:

This pattern required a gauge square for the competition as the finished size of the squares were initially taken into account. In saying that, as long as you don’t change your hook or yarn throughout, gauge is not overly important.

If you do like to do a gauge swatch, it’s in the pattern and a solid granny square finishing at end of round 4 measures 8cm unblocked.

MATERIALS:

Your choice of yarn and corresponding hook size
Yarn needle and scissors
Block equipment if desired - not required
Stylecraft Naturals was used in the photos in the pattern

WHAT CAN I MAKE FROM THIS SQUARE?:

You could also make a cushion, blanket, curtains, wall hanging, a poncho, shawl… anything that involves joining squares.
