I designed this shawl for the precious had dyed yarn that I had. This yarn was so pretty and there was so little of it. It was hard to knit something using only this yarn. I added unicolor grey yarn to be able to get a shawl of a wearable size. The lace pattern adds a pretty and fine touch for the edge.

This is a top-down, triangular shawl that knits up quickly in worsted weight yarn. You can also knit it using fingering or DK weight yarn. This shawl is easy to resize and knit to your desired size.

Pattern is fully written and lace parts contains both written and charted instructions. It contains also a schematic representation.

Skill Level:
Beginner. Large stockinette and garter stitch sections. The lace part is simple and easy to memorize with an easy purled return row. Lace part includes stitches such as: yo, skk, k2tog and CDD. If you newer done CDD (central double decrease) don’t be scared. It is a perfect pattern to learn it.

Yarn Requirements:
The yarn A and B must be two contrast color yarns. Choose contrast colors not only by the color but also by the tone (dark/clear). The A and B yarns could be both unicolor but it looks nice if the yarn A is multicolor/variegated.

Fingering / 4 ply:
Yarn A – 421 meters (460 yards) of multicolor/variegated yarn
Yarn B – 359 meters (392 yards) of unicolor yarn
