Shawletta Grande

Easy triangular shaped shawl in garter stitch pattern with a flattering picot edging all around.

The possibilities to wear are endless. It would even be a nice shoulder wrap for a strapless gown. I like to wear it with the tip to the front and then knot the two ends right in front when I go for a walk.

Bulky weight yarn makes this a fast project!

There is a video link on how to make the picot edging.

Shawletta was inspired by Kim Hargreaves Opal shawl. Knitted from the top down, smaller in size and picot edging on all sides make this a fun project. With only two balls of yarn used it would be an ideal gift for a friend. It is knitted similar to the all time favorite granny washcloth pattern.
Measurements: 50”/20” (127cm/51cm).
The pattern is very precise and you can mark off every row.

Yarn amount: 145 - 160 yards

Since this year the Rowan yarn: “Kidsilk Aura” has been discontinued. I would recommend Rowan “Alpaca Cotton” or three strands of Rowan “Kidsilk Haze” held together.
