She Wore Blue pays tribute to the best sock yarn available and one of my favourite movies.

A classic top-down sock constructed with a garter rib heel flap and a pattern that carries its personality all the way to the end of the toe.

This is a cables and lace pattern that will keep you on your toes, but don’t despair, it grows very quickly!

The 11-page PDF file contains a detailed account on sock knitting, including instructions for all 3 methods (dpns, magic loop and 2 circulars), and the following:

  • Charts and legend.
  • Written Instructions and abbreviation list.
  • Marker and needle positions throughout.
  • Stitch count throughout.
  • Personalised toe according to chart position and size chosen.

For this pattern to be enjoyed to the max, chose a solid or hint of semi-solid yarn that shows off cables and has a bit of a stretch to make the lace shine through.

For those concerned about the size of the PDF - only pages 1-5 are essential, plus 1 extra for your personalised toe instructions. The full PDF can be printed in B/W as the colour scheme can translate to grayscale.
