I am retiring from knit design due to progressive arthritis. Although I will no longer provide pattern support to my patterns that are now free, my patterns are edited and most have been test knit.

This traditional tammy is my TKGA Master Hand Knitting Program final hat design. It features a cable cast on for a firm but flexible edge; 1x1 corrugated rib; a peerie, border, border, peerie configuration; and finally a patterned wheel of seven sections. Coordinating mitts are included. Sheep Craig is a high promontory on the southeast portion of the Shetland Island of Fair Isle.

The tammy is worked in one size and fits head circumference 20.5-23”/52-58 cm.

The mitts are worked in one size and fit 7”/18 cm hand circumference.

One skein of each of the following colors is needed for either the tammy or mitts: #160 midnight, #170 fjord, #410 cornfield, #182 buttercup, #1190 burnt umber and #129 loganberry

Notions include (2) st markers, and 10” plate or tam frame
