Sheep Herder's hat
This warm hat can be worn fashionably back and slouchy. Or pull it down over your ears to provide all the warmth needed when taking hay out to the pasture.
Construction Notes
This hat begins with a ribbed brim worked lengthwise; stitches are then picked up from along the top edge and knit up in the round to the crown decreases. The hatband may be seamed or closed with a button. I think the seamed version would be wonderful for men! Worked in a bulky weight yarn this hat is incredibly quick to knit up, and the ridge and lace pattern makes it cosy without being overly hot.
