I highly modified this blanket from Caron.com, and came out with this pattern. I wanted a blanket that had plenty of texture and contrast, and I am pleased with how this turned out.

Shells were adjusted so that the ends would “square off”. Stripe panel was a design I came up with, using a floret stitch.

The border came from naturallycaron.com pattern “Sonoma Baby Blanket” (which I plan on making soon)

This makes a very warm blanket, using the cotton plus yarn. Next time, I’d think I would use something softer, perhaps naturally caron spa.
