SHEPHERD Toque

The Shepherd toque is a light Stockinette stitch hat with a flattering double brim. Developed to be lightweight and quick drying, this versatile hat is the perfect companion whether strolling downtown city streets or hiking the backcountry. Designed to be packable — it can be stuffed into a jacket pocket when not in use. Knit from the bottom up (brim to crown), a narrow band of 1 x 1 ribbing creates elasticity on the inside of the toque while the folded brim provides comfort and warmth where it’s needed most, around the ears. Written for three different head sizes, the pattern also offers three versions – Ultralight, Mid-Weight, and Fingering, (see details below). Sample shown is Ultralight version in size M.
