A classic flattering vest with deep ribbing and dart shaping. This is a versatile pattern; try a short vest under a long jacket, or a long vest on its own over jeans.

US 6 (4.0mm) 36” or longer circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge US 4 (3.5mm) 24” or longer circular needles, plus DPNs or longer circular if using Magic Loop, for armhole bands, or two sizes smaller than needles used to obtain gauge. If you are working the long vest, you will need a circular needle long enough to accommodate a large number of stitches when working the front bands.
