This shawl is an asymmetrical triangle (boomerang) which can be done in any weight yarn and can be made as big as you want it. Needle size depends on your yarn and the look and hand that you want.

I used a light fingering weight handspun yarn on US size 4 needles (I knit very loosely). I used about 1000 yards for my very large shawl (50 x 80 x 105 inches).

The pattern is a simple variant on the classic Shetland feather and fan pattern.

NOTE: This pattern has not been test knitted by anyone other than myself and there may be mistakes. Please let me know if you find any problems!
