♫ The Music ♫
Shetland Times and Tatties is a modern composition by the Scottish quartet Corran Raa. A waltz, a beautifully slow and lilting tune, it will have you gliding across the dance floor in your Shetland Times and Tatties socks.

These toe-up socks begin with a barn toe. The lace panel begins on the instep and twines around the back of the leg; lace panels are mirrored on the two socks. The sole is worked in Stockinette stitch. Gusset increases are worked at the sides of the sole. The heel is turned using a short row heel cap, which means no picking up stitches. The heel flap is worked in a standard slipped-stitch pattern.

To work the recommended bind off knitters need to be able to ‘read their knitting, i.e., identify knit or purl stitches as they present themselves.

Lace panel is charted with written directions provided.
