Cosy and practical, you can make a pair of convertible gloves and matching peak cap from this Shetland Winter Warmers pattern. If you are an advanced knitter, you can make the whole set over a weekend!

▶ The gloves are convertible. You can wear them as fingerless gloves or with the flaps unbuttoned you have a pair of mittens! It’s chunky and long to keep your wrists nice and warm.
▶ If you love cable knitwear, the hat is ideal for you. There are adorable chunky cable patterns throughout the hat. It has a stylish short brim complete with crochet strap.

Intermediate to advanced - Basic knitting and crochet knowledge is expected to do this pattern.

The following techniques are used to make this pattern:

* Cable knitting
* Magic loop
* Knitting using double-pointed needles (dpn)

Materials Required:
Jamieson’s of Shetland Aran is used for this pattern (colour: stonewash is used in the pattern).
▷ Gloves (short version): 1 skein
▷ Gloves (long version): 2 skeins
▷ Hat: 1 skein

Needles and Hook:

A set of 5 mm dpn or circular needles (if a circular needle is used, you would need dpn to do the thumb).

Notions Required:
▶Cable needle
▶Waste yarn
▶2 x Buttons for either a hat or a pair of gloves
▶2 x Stitch markers (for the hat)
