Intermediate to advanced - Basic knitting and crochet knowledge is expected to do this pattern.

The following techniques are used to make this pattern:

* Cable knitting
* Magic loop
* Knitting using double-pointed needles (dpn)

Materials Required:
Jamieson’s of Shetland Aran is used for this pattern (colour: stonewash is used in the pattern).
▷ Gloves (short version): 1 skein
▷ Gloves (long version): 2 skeins
▷ Hat: 1 skein

Needles and Hook:
Gloves:

A set of 5 mm dpn or circular needles (if a circular needle is used, you would need dpn to do the thumb).

Hat:

5 mm circular needles

Crochet hook size 5 mm

Notions Required:
▶Cable needle
▶Waste yarn
▶2 x Buttons for either a hat or a pair of gloves
▶2 x Stitch markers (for the hat)

Finished Size (approx.):
Gloves (shorter version):
▶Total height with the flap: 30 cm (11.8”)
▶Height without the flap: 24 cm (9.5”)
▶Width: 10 cm (4”)
Hat:
▶Height: 21 cm (8.3”)
▶Circumference: 59 cm (23.5”)
