Shimmer gets its name from the silver reflective flecks in the yarn that was used to create the hat.

The cross stitch single crochet gives the hat a denser texture than regular single crochet, while the light weight of this yarn keeps it flexible and comfortable.

The pleats are permanently crocheted into the hat as it is made.

The image shown is feminine, but you can make this for men as well by altering the final round. Using a smaller hook, or a lighter yarn and smaller hook will produce a child’s hat. Use a heavier yarn and/or larger hook for a large man’s or oversized hat.

SIZE: One size - Teen/adult. Fits 53 - 61 cm (21 - 24”)
Skill Level: Easy, but could be difficult for those new to crochet.

Ravelry has Isaac Mizrahi Craft Broadway coming up as aran. That is incorrect. It says #4 Medium worsted on the label, but it is actually quite light compared to regular worsted. My gauge with a 4mm hook was 19 sts x 21 rows for 10 cm (4”).
