Designer Notes: “In this lace shrug, I wanted a bit of shimmer for a festive feeling. I knew that the sparkle would impart a dressy look, but I wanted a garment that could be worn at other times as well. I found the answer by working a thin Lurex yarn that reflects the light along with a fine mohair that softens the shummer… For a less dressy look, substitute a solid yarn (such as Tahki Dream) for the sparkly Lurex.” --Michele Rose Orne

Update: The Rowan Lurex Shimmer yarn has since been discontinued and you may substitute Lang/Berroco Lurex in color #0060 burgundy or Katia/Knitting Fever Gatsby in color #16 burgundy.

Gauge: 22 stitches (2 pattern repeats wide) and 32 rows (4 pattern repeats high)= 5.25 inches (13.5 cm) wide and 5.5 inches (14 cm) high in pattern from Body chart on larger needles.
