Shining Star
(from kategilbert.com)
This hat is worked from the top down using yarn overs and decreases to make a star with radiating rays. I make mine in a super soft merino that doesn't itch. Because the same stitches are worked five times in each round, I prefer to work this hat with 6 needles so each group of stitches is on a separate needle. I've written the pattern this way but you can certainly work it on fewer needles and use stitch markers to mark the repeats.
Pattern includes instructions for six sizes, from baby to adult XL.
