The Shoji Shawl a delightful combination of bulky yarn and soft drape achieved by crocheting very, very loosely and by mixing two similar textures of cotton. Creating a garment in bulky
cotton that does not feel like an afghan proved to be challenging, but after much frogging and tweaking of the design, success was achieved! If you tend to crochet rather tightly, you may want to use one or two hook sizes larger.

The structure of the Shoji Shawl was inspired by the structure of a Japanese Shoji screen.
