Lace-weight 2-ply American Cashmere 100%
cashmere OR ANY Lace-weight yarn
2–#3 (3.25 mm) short single-pointed needles

GAUGE: 15½ sts./2 in. (5 cm)

SIZE: 8½” x 36” (21.5 x 92 cm)

DIRECTIONS:
1. Loosely cast on 66 sts.

  1. Work in garter st. for 6 rows.

  2. Begin stitch pattern. Work Short-wave Lace Pattern for 21 repeats. Pattern instructions have been provided in written and chart form. NOTES: Rows 1–3 are worked only for the 1st repeat of pattern. The chart contains the edge sts. + 4 pattern repeats.

  3. Finish scarf by working 5 rows in garter st., then bind off loosely.

  4. To block the scarf, slightly dampen it. Then, using rust-proof pins every 2 cm (ca. 1” 2.5 cm), pin the scarf to size on a padded surface (such as an ironing board). Leave overnight until completely dry. Remove pins and enjoy your new scarf.
