The idea of this piece was due to the issues I was having putting and keeping shawls on. I love to wear them, especially soft silk or cashmere ones but they slip and fall off and I become frustrated. I imagined if I could connect them in a way that created the drape and bulk I preferred around the neck and the lace how I like to wear in the front; I would be happy.
This “Pattern” isn’t a true pattern in the sense that it is a line by line representation of what I did to create this specific piece. It was an experiment and I didn’t take great notes. But I share with you the process so you can take it and create what you think will work for you to explore.
