This is a fun shawl to knit with self-striping yarn! The idea for this shawl was born out of a vest that I designed several years ago. As I was knitting the vest’s sideways shawl collar, I thought to myself that this would also make a great sideways-knit shawl.

The shawl involves short-row shaping, but the wraps do not have to be picked up since they are not visible in the garter stitch fabric.

Yarn:
900 yds of any self striping fingering weight yarn

Needles:
U.S. 6 (4 mm) needles

Notions:
15 stitch markers
tapestry needle
