Every wardrobe needs a good staple, but some wardrobes are lucky to have pieces like Sideways Canvas! As the name suggests, this easy Stockinette and Reverse Stockinette combo summer top is knit sideways. This project presents you with a unique opportunity to play with both color and texture, whether you choose to make it in solid color or make it two color. The fun boxy construction garment consists of two parts – front and back. One side is straight and the other one is shaped using decreases, increases and short rows to achieve better shaping. However this top is interchangeable! The front can be worn as back and vice versa, and you can do the same when you turn it inside out! Versatility at its best! And if you also choose to wait and see about alternating the texture, you can make that final determination before seaming it. Or you can make your choice early and can easily knit this top in 1 piece seamlessly! Whichever method you follow, you will create a basic canvas that you will be able to style with at least with 4 different looks or further embellish if so desired. In this pattern you will find 11 video tutorials to make your knitting experience as smooth as possible while adding more techniques into your skill set!
