The Sign On the Dotted Line Shawl encourages you to do just that! Take your “signature” color and “sign” your personal stamp of color on the border of the shawl!

Knit from the bottom up, this shawl uses clever decreasing to create fields of texture and the slip stitch color border gives you that opportunity to “autograph” your shawl with your own personal touch!

This shawl was designed using the lovely StevenBe color in Zen Yarn Garden Serenity Silk+. StevenBe’s is a fantastic yarn store that encourages knitters and crafters to add special, personal flair to all of their projects. Hence the inspiration for this piece and a big thank you to them for letting me knit with their shop exclusive colorway!

Size: 43 inches along top edge X 9 inches along center line. This is the blocked sample and as such, due to blocking differences, gauge differences, and knitter’s preferences, your shawl may be a different size.

Recommended yarn: Fingering weight yarn of your choice. You can also use other weights of yarn, but yardage will vary as well as needle size. Yarn pictured is Zen Yarn Garden Serenity Silk+ (75% Merino/15% Silk/10% Cashmere) which is a heavy laceweight yarn.

Gauge: 6 sts to the inch in stockinette, blocked, on US size 4/3.5 mm needles.

Yardage: Color A: 400 yds/ 366 m; Color B: 5-10 yds/ 9 m

Needles: 32” US size 4/3.5mm circular needles

Notions: 6 Stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors
