This cowl uses the beautiful colors and striping of Noro yarn in a symmetrical way. The linen stitch gives the stripes a more textural appearance. The finished cowl measures about 64” x 1 1 /2” wide, not too big or bulky, more like colorful knitted jewelry.

This pattern uses 1 skein of Noro Silk Garden and US #10 32-40 inch circular needle. ( OR you may use a US #9 needle for a finished cowl about 42” x 2” wide). Use a size F(3.75mm) crochet hook to bind off your stitches.

Note: A mobius cast on is essentially a provisional cast on, working the first round of stitches around the cable of the circular needle instead of around scrap yarn. Check out YouTube videos for a mobius cast on.

When the slip knot comes around as you knit the first round, drop the slip knot. Also with linen stitch, K1 is always worked into the sl1 stitch from the previous row.
