The Dutch bonnet may be called the mode of the motorists for it has been their most fashionable form of headgear this season. And very sensibly so, for its comfort when travelling is a boon in the way it clips close to the ear, keeping them well protected against all cold winds. The shape is very simple.

In the pattern, 12 stitches cast on to make 1¾in. of brioche. White Andalusian wool should be used, with a pretty colour in the same kind for the stripes, which will be very effective. Use a pair of No. 18 and No. 16 needles.
