Silla
In the mythology of the Inuit, Silla is the goddess of the weather, wind, heaven and sea. Silla is the primary component of all that lives. She doesn’t have a body, but wanders around as an ethereal being. The Inuit believe she’s responsible for everything that happens in life. You can feel her in the weather. When friendly, she presents the best circumstances to hunt and live. But when enraged or offended, heavy storms rage and the Inuit have to endure sickness and hunger. Silla excists out of stardust, that what souls are made of, and is one of the oldest gods in Inuit mythology. Her connection with the wintry weather in the Inuit region gave me the idea to use her name for this design.
Sizes…
Head circumference: 40-45 cm (0-1 years), 45-48 cm (1-2 years), 48-50 cm (2-3 years), 50-53 cm (3+ years).
The last size is the most universal and fits for a very long time. A head circumference mostly grows in the first years. After that it gets more stable and grows more slowly. Both my son (20 months old) as my daughter (10 years old) fit this size. For my son, it’s a little big (but nog too big). For my daughter it gets too small now (but teens don’t like this kind of hats… they aren’t cool enough anymore ;) )
