Tutorial for the SYTK Stitch

General tip: If you’d like to go seamless try a Kitchener’s stitch to graft the top of the hood.

A beautiful, very “Morgana,” Celtic-styled hooded mozzetta pattern is all in one piece and has a high ribbon-laced turtle-neck collar and a generous hood that sweeps the shoulders. It stays up on its own but for windy days you can use a hairpin to secure it without losing the silhouette. Wear it under your hood-less coats in lieu of a scarf!

This is a multi-sized pattern S,M,L,XL and fits shoulder circumferences 38”-50”

The materials required are:

3-4 skeins of Lion-Brand Wool-Ease yarn
or just under 600-800 yards any other Aran weight yarn

1½ yard 5/8” - 1” wide satin ribbon

Pair of 32” or longer 5 mm (US size 8) circular knitting needles or DPNs
Pair of 32” or longer 4.5 mm (US size 7) circular knitting needles or DPNs

Tapestry needle

Wool-Ease is an Aran weight yarn. If you use a smaller, worsted weight yarn, your project may be far too small. You will have to watch your gauge carefully. If you’re unsure, it will be best to use a heavy worsted or light bulky yarn if you’re not using Wool-Ease for your project
