This little dream of a dress is perfectly charming, yet practical and warm too. She will love wearing it and it will be admired by
everyone. The petite cuffs are pulled in with simple rib and could be smocked to match the sleeve tops. The easy pattern flutes the swirly silver edged skirt giving it a fairy like quality,
which will delight that little girl in us all.
The body is knitted in two pieces to the shoulders and then sewn together. Buttoned at the back for easy access, finished with an easy crochet shell pattern around the neck to fasten.
There is some smocking on the top of the sleeves which has the pattern for this too. It is simple work to do. The sleeves are full.
The dress can fit many sizes as it can be knitted longer but adding an extra ‘set’ between decreases, making the ‘skirt’ part longer. The chest is quite stretchy as well making it able to fit a larger child. Sleeve has indication where to make longer to fit bigger child also.
