Quoted text

My favourite spot for knitting is sitting beside my living room window that overlooks the garden. Along the borders there is a row of silver birch trees standing majestically guarding the shrubbery and flower beds that lay below. In the wintertime the trees stand tall and fearless with their branches bare, stretched upwards as if they were reaching to touch the sky.

The Silver Birch Beanie is designed keeping these trees in mind, by incorporating the design into the brim of the hat while using stockinette stitch for the crown. This allows the brim to stand to the forefront as the trees do against the skyline.
