Oh, sweet texture. It gets me every time (especially when it’s a fun repeat that doesn’t require focus). Inspired by the two-toned, textured bark of a silver birch tree, this pretty shawl is a soothing project for your favorite neutrals. I chose natural, undyed wool for this nature-inspired project, but it would be just as lovely with a bold pop of color.

Knit flat from the smallest point to the far wide edge (capped with garter stitch on both ends), Silver Birch is worked with two colors in an easy-to-memorize texture that will become second nature after just a few repeats. You’ll find the stitch pattern to be quite addictive.
