When you want a cozy shawl tout suite, turn to a luscious yarn and knit to your heart’s content. This crescent shawl has a Garter Stitch base and an easy-to-work lace edging that adds just the right amount of gorgeous detail to liven up any outfit.

Worked from the top down to form a crescent shape, most of this shawl is created with the knit stitch. The knitted-on edging will make you feel like a pro as you work back and forth, finishing off one stitch from the body of the shawl every other row.

Firm blocking opens up the Garter Stitch body of the shawl, changing the gauge from the standard one-stitch-to-two-rows to 13 sts by 20 rows.

Features

  • Aran weight yarn makes for bold lace (and a quick knit)
  • Garter Stitch body of the shawl balances nicely with the lace edging
  • Edging is provided in both written and charted formats
