This is a simple garter stitch blanket with hardly any finishing as you pick up stitches from one section and attach them to one another as you’re binding off the next section.

Simple enough for the adventurous beginner and interesting enough for the seasoned knitter, there are various links and a photo tutorial to help with techniques used in the pattern, such as picking up stitches and a modified 3-needle bind off. There are also some schematics included in each section to help illustrate how the blanket is put together.

Thanks to my test knitters who helped me remove any kinks from the pattern and have given me information on using heavier yarns.

Below and overview of estimated yardage used to complete the blanket per yarn weight used and per color to give you an overall idea of how much you might need.
