Materials
• 1200 (1300, 1400, 1600, 1800) yards of worsted weight yarn. Sample shown in Sunshine Yarns Worsted Merino, color Peacock.
• Size 7 knitting needles (or size to achieve gauge)
• Size 5 knitting needles (or 2 sizes smaller than needed to achieve gauge)
• Size 5 16” circular knitting needle (or 2 sizes smaller than needed to achieve gauge)
• 1 large (1” or 1½”) button

Gauge
20 sts and 28 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch

The top part of the sweater is reverse stockinette stitch, the bottom part stockinette stitch. The edges are rolled, and the bands along the front opening are knit along with the fronts. It really is a simple sweater!
