These cozy mitts in worsted weight yarn take just a couple of hours to finish and make a great gift. Choose from an undulating stripe in a slipped stitch pattern, a solid stripe, or a simple colorwork stripe. The stripes are a great way to use up your leftover bits of yarn from other projects. The mitts can be worked on either double pointed needles or a long circular.

All directions are written except the colorwork stripe, which is presented as a chart.

Mitts should fit the hand with no ease or negative ease, so pick a size that is close to the same size or slightly smaller than the recipient’s actual hand circumference. Mitts can be adjusted in length by adding or subtracting rounds just before the colorwork stripe.

Information is included for adapting the pattern to a longer or shorter hand length, for making a solid colored mitt, and for substituting other colorwork patterns.
