This cowl (or neckwarmer or gator or mowl) is knit bottom-up and is meant to be flexible. You can wear it around your neck, but it will stay up if you have it just under or over your nose, too. If you don’t mind a bit of flappiness (or you have a ton of hair), you can even wear it as a hat with the smaller opening pulled to the back of your head. Perfect for frigid days waiting for the bus.
