Simple Lace Shawl
(from knitspot.com)
"The simplest version of this shawl may be worked in any yarn and on any size needle—a textured novelty yarn knits up quickly into a spectacular fringed wrap. For a light and lacy traditional shawl, choose a fingering yarn and knit the version which ends with lace border that is easy to master."
Finished Size: 72 to 78 inches across top edge; 34 to 38 inches at center back, depending on choice of yarn, gauge and blocking method
Yarn Requirements: for lacy version: 1,100 to 1,400 yds of fingering weight yarn; yardage will vary with finished size, gauge and needle, for simplest version: 700 to 1,000 yards of novelty yarn; yardage will vary with finished size and length of fringe
