I wrote this pattern in October 2014, which is Breast Cancer month. It is also a month when two friends are undergoing chemotherapy at this time. This pattern is simple and quick. In light worsted yarn (DK/8ply), it is soft and lightweight. I have included a ribbon applique which is, of course, optional, but I think it gives a nice finishing touch.

The strength, courage, and patience of so many women is more than admirable. They deserve all the support we can offer to them.

Materials: 1 skein light worsted yarn (DK/8ply); a small oddment of white yarn; a yarn needle for sewing in ends and attaching the ribbon. 4mm crochet hook

To fit: Adult Women/older Teens

Gauge: 13 sts and 10 rows using 4mm hook in double crochet = 4”

Difficulty: Easy
