Very simple cuffs/mitts that are a little bit 19th century military, a little bit Michael Jackson. :)

Gauge is not hugely important: most standard DK yarns will work. The rib is stretchy and flexible. The Cosy Wool makes them scratchy and rustic, while the Cashmino is beautifully soft. You will need to know how to cast on and off, work in the round and make i-cord.

You will also need 12 buttons. I used metal shank, domed brass buttons 9mm and vintage gold plastic ones, 12mm.

(I recommend the Craftsy course “Knit Lab: In the Round” with Stefanie Japel as a great way to learn knitting in the round, including magic loop!)
