Somehow the neck area of ski jackets never seems to be really protected from the cold. I designed these neck warmers to keep my little angels warm but they also fit adults just by increasing the length of the ribbing to 7”.

This is a very easy pattern with the most complicated part being making left leaning and right leaning stitches. For little girls I add some embellishment such as the 7 petal Buttercup from Nicky Epstein’s Knitted Flowers or a bow tie made from an “I” cord but for boys/men, I just leave it plain for the macho look.

Note: If you find holes occuring where you have made a stitch, it is because the yarn that you pick up between the 2 stitches is not being twisted when you knit into it. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, there are excellent videos on Knitting Help for the M1R & M1L.
