This beautiful cowl is knit in a super soft blend of wool, alpaca and silk to create a winter scarf worthy of being up close, next to your skin on cold winter days. The sample is knit with a single skein of Juniper Moon Farm’s Moonshine, with only a few yards of left overs. Size adjustment is made by changing the needle size you work with. Moonshine contains 20% silk which creates a soft, relaxed fabric with significant drape. Selecting an alternate yarn may create different results.

The pattern is appropriate for an advanced beginner, interested in working in the round with simple stitch patterns. It can be easily adapted to include more complicated stitch patterns if desired.

The ivory cowl shown is a size M worn by a petite 18 year old. The gray one shown is a size L.
