This pattern was designed for the Chicagoland Yarn Crawl 2017.

I designed the mitts in Cheeky Merino Joy because the stitch definition of this yarn enhances the pattern design. I also like the fact that Cheeky Merino Joy is GOTS Certified organic. Every little bit helps when it comes to protecting our environment and the people who produce the yarn.

These mitts are inspired by Cecelia Campochiaro’s magnificent book Sequence Knitting, which catalogs stitches that are wonderfully repetitive and seductively sequential.

Although it resembles brioche, this stitch pattern is much simpler.

The pattern includes three options:
1) two colors of Cheeky Merino Joy
2) two colors of Cheeky Merino Joy held with one strand of Ito Sensai throughout
3) one color of Cheeky Merino Joy held with one strand of Ito Sensai throughout.

Enjoy!
