This shrug is made of two top-down knit sleeves and a rectangle for the back with 1x1 rib at it’s borders. The three parts are then sewn together.
If I would do it again, I would maybe knit the sleeves in the round to avoid the seams :) So please feel free to change the pattern accordingly if you want, I consider it a great idea.

As a european, I measured the whole thing in cm and m, but converted everything to inches and yards, too. Please understand that because of this, the inches are only approximately (+/- 0.5in). If you want to go sure, compare the gauge to the given number of rows and stitches to knit.

Your size is determined by four measurements which I listed in a table to make it easier for you to choose the appropriate one.
The smallest size XS uses a back diameter (shoulder to shoulder) of 36cm/14in and an upper arm circumference of 25cm/10in where as the biggest size XXL uses a back diameter of 48cm/19in and an upper arm circumference of 40cm/16in.

Very important: This is my first attempt at sizing a pattern I made to that much different sizes. If I did a bad job or should include smaller/bigger sizes, please tell me! I really want the sizes to fit real women, so I’d be very happy to hear, if something is totally wrong.
