A worsted weight cabled beanie, or slouch, pompom hat. Perfect for your first cabling project. One size of beanie and slouch.

Materials
-1 skein of Malabrigo Rios worsted weight yarn (210 yds), shown above in Pearl, slouch and below in Lotus, beanie.
-size 8 12” circular needles and double pointed needles (double pointed in this size for beanie only), or size to get gauge.
-size 6 12” circular needles, or 2 sizes smaller than gauge.
-size 9 12” circular needles and double pointed needles, for slouch only, or 1 size larger than gauge.
-6 stitch markers, one a different color from the rest.
-tapestry needle
-pompom maker, if one is desired.

Pattern
Gauge: 18sts=4” in stockinette on size 8 needles. After swatching to gauge, use size 9 needle (or one size larger than gauge) for slouch style. Use size 8 for beanie.
Sizes: teen/adult beanie(slouch)
