The double thickness of IODK makes for a very warm, reversible hat while keeping it lightweight. Alternating sections of IODK and standard DK effectively create stockinette stripes of the opposite color which here are not only decorative, but also provide structure and stability, keeping the layers in place.

YARN: One skein each of two different colors of worsted weight yarn. Sample shown in Berroco Ultra Alpaca (50% Alpaca, 50% Wool; 215 yds per 100g hank); Color A: #6225 Masa (yellow), Color B: #6210 Giada (green) (Note: Colorway #6210 has been discontinued; #6277 Peat Mix is a close substitute)

NEEDLES: US 10/6.0 mm 27-inch circular needle
