These simple fingerless gloves are the perfect way to keep wrists and hands warm without interfering with busy fingers. They are also an ideal introduction to knitting in the round on small circulars or double pointed needles (DPNs).

Requires:

  • 4.5mm needles (these are so stretchy, gauge is really not all that important), either double pointed needles and/or small circumference circulars
  • Darning needle
  • Scissors
  • DK or worsted weight yarn. I like Mosaic Moon Juniper, Hazel or Rowan DK; Mosaic Moon Meadowsweet Worsted or Aran; and Knit Picks Swish DK.

Techniques:

  • Long tail cast on (or the cast on of your choice)
  • Knitting in the round (this is a great project for learning how to knit in the round!)
  • Weaving in ends
  • Increasing using the PFB stitch (purl front & back)
  • Casting off
