This beautiful cowl is simple, soft and the perfect warm accessory for the chilly winter months. The contrast between the slouchy stockinette stitch and the stiffness of the five by five rib gives it a lovely fullness and warmth when scrunched up around your neck. The rib serves as a collar that can be rolled down or flipped up for added warmth.

A definite quick knit & great for beginners. It is knit in the round using a circular needle.

The original was knit with a loosely spun, single ply merino silk blend heavy worsted weight yarn. It was knit a tad loose to allow the single ply to plump up as well as for drape. Be sure to keep this in mind when substituting yarns. You may be required to change needle size depending on your yarn selection.

I used almost the entire second skein so extra yardage may be required depending on your tension and desired length.
