Simple brioche, simple shaping, sparkling stars:..the Simply Stellar shawlette is knit flat in 2-color brioche rib. This bias triangle features assigned pooling stars in the body of the shawlette.

Choose 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn, one of which should be dyed for assigned pooling.

Pattern includes a video tutorial for the star stitch on brioche.

Brioche knitting and assigned pooling are two of my favorite knitting techniques. I love combining them; it’s double happiness!

Finished measurements: 60”/152 cm on decrease edge x 70”/178 cm on increase edge x 34”/86 cm on bind off edge. You can stop knitting sooner if you don’t want your shawlette to be as large as mine; I knit until I ran out of yarn to see how big it could be.

Thanks to tech editor Meaghan Schmaltz, test knitters Ann Berg, Iris Mondri-Kish, and Desta Packan, and model Sharon Hsu.

Special thanks to Tammy Pelfrey/A Chick that Knitz for the beautiful yarn for this design!
