Like Spring in Texas these socks are short and sweet. Shorties or anklet sock are fun to knit, they don’t use up much yarn and the project goes quickly.

The stripes are simple, as the name suggest. These socks use simple colorwork. Just 2 colors, pick 2 colors, go crazy with your colors or stay neutrual and start knitting. There are a few options to choose from in this pattern, a rolled cuff or a ribbed cuff, striped toe or solid toe. There are charts, (don’t worry, nothing complicated) that make the decreases easy to follow and once you get the hang of the stripes, you won’t need the charts!

The pattern uses the magic loop technique for kniting however you can easily substitute for dpns. The socks are knit cuff down and use 2 colors or 2 colors and a mini, for an extra pop. Please keep in mind, I used 2 50 gram skeins of yarn for the main sample, with just a few grams left over, for a size 8 foot. If you have longer feet and knit the largest size you will find that you might need more yarn.
