Siren Song is a densely textured, semicircular shawl with a flowing scale pattern. The design begins with a central scallop shell rib, then becomes a gradually expanding double scale textured lace with twisted rib detailing, and ends in a swooping fishnet mesh.

The pattern is one main size (large), though extra wedges can be added to make more than a half circle. The body & edging can also be extended a little to make use of remaining yardage. The depth could also be increased by using a heavier weight yarn.

The design suits lace to sport weight yarn, of solid, semi solid, very subtle speckle, or gradient colouring.

The pattern is charts only, however the early rows are written out to get you started.

It is named for the feeling of listening to the things that call you, in this case the irresistible urge I felt to begin swatching as soon as I’d created the chart. :) As someone who is usually a reluctant swatcher, I knew this had to be some kind of special magic..
