I designed the Sit N’ Knit Mitts to utilize small amounts of sport/DK weight handspun but it is the perfect use for an orphan ball of yarn or that single ball of something special. The pattern features twisted ribbing and a simple lace pattern designed to fit a variety of hand sizes. These have been knit to fit 5-8 inch wrists without modification, but modifications are simple enough with a change of needle or yarn.

The lace pattern is both charted and written out for every skill set. The increases on the thumb gusset are written out, so even an inexperienced knitter can follow along with the pattern.

Please note that although the recommended yarn is listed as a worsted weight, it knits up at a DK weight.
