Cold and dark days need a little light, a little warmth… a little sizzle.

This mitten set uses an easy texture stitch for a layer of warmth and a pop of colour.

While these are written for an avgerage-ish hand of 6” by 8”, it would be easy to size up or down, especially if you use the drape of a superwash yarn (soak but don’t dry to make them grow) to your advantage.

One of my favourite things about superwash wool is that if you soak it and air dry it, it grooows a ton. So, if your mitts are smaller than you like then you can do that. Or as a way to get a larger size without resorting to math.

This pattern is both written and charted for a full mitten as well as a fingerless option. Now that is sizzlin’!

You could get one pair of each from 2 skeins of Malabrigo Rios, if you switch up the MC and the CC.
